I feel fortunate that I am doing what I've always wanted to do (well, after singing backup with The Rolling Stones of course). As far back as I can remember, the mixing of voice, music and sound effects, whether for a radio production or supporting local and national theatre, has never felt like work, but just pure fun. Here at Post Audio I have the opportunity to practice my craft while creating radio commercials, sound design and mixing to picture for TV, DVD or web as well as scoring music. Occasionally during the day, I catch myself thinking, "what a great job". There's really never a dull moment with all of the different types of projects I get to work on.
After ten years working as a DJ at several Bay
Area and Sacramento radio stations, David Whitaker made the jump into studio and post production work. He became studio manager and head engineer at Studio Z Recording in Sacramento. His clients included advertising agencies, TV and radio stations, state agencies, local theatre and ballet companies as well as  area bands.

After a twenty five year career as a recording
engineer and producer, David was ready for a change. Equipped to handle every aspect of audio, David was brought in to design and build an audio post facility for Pacsat Post. Opening in the Pacsat building in 2003, David worked with the video post production department on TV commercials, documentaries, independent films and hundreds of radio spots per year.

David spent twelve years with Pacsat,
steering the audio studio to a diverse array of new projects. In 2015 he made the switch from employee to tenant, incorporating as Post Audio Inc and running the studio as his own company.
